Hope. The Wall Berlin, Germany

Two girls kissing in front of the Wall in the East Side Gallery of Friedrichshain district. The mural on the wall shows the then East German socialist party chief Honecker and the Russian President Brezhnev embracing in a so-called ‘socialist fraternal kiss’ as painted by Dmitri Vrubel. This mural was painted after a newspaper photo, it is stylised of course, but the scene actually happened.
