Giant Banyan tree, Korat, Thailand

Looking out from underneath Thailand's largest Banyan tree. Older Banyan's grow arial roots that mature into thick trunks, which become indistinguishable from the mother trunk over time. After a while an interwovem grove of trunks and branches takes shape that can grow over a wide area. This particular grove here spans an area of some 1,350 square meters.
