On the last day before Durga Puja, Kolkata's biggest festival began. It is the busiest time of year in Kumartuli, the potter's quarter, where idols of deities are sculpted for the festival. I met the sweet young boy and his brother sitting on the stairs, so completely at ease seemingly oblivious to the busy coming and going on the street in front of them.
