On the evening before Durga Puja, Kokata's biggest festival and busiest time of year in Kumartuli, the potter's quarter. The lady was sitting on the road chatting with friends, not long before festivities would begin. She granted me a portrait, slightly surprised by my interest and complement on the beautiful dress and colours.
