Bagan sunrise, Myanmar

Early morning light across Bagan, with trees and numerous temples visible in the mist and haze just after sunrise. Between the 9th and 13th century over 10,000 religious buildings were constructed in the plain of Bagan alone, of which over 2,000 survived until today in this amazing cultural landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
