Balloons gliding with the wind across the ancient cultural landscape of ancient Bagan in Myanmar at dawn. Thousands of temples dot this vast plain in the center of what is Myanmar today, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The large temple in the center here is called Sulamani, built in 1183. It was damaged by an earthquake the year after my visit with the spire crumbling and crashing to the ground. (Feb-2015)
